“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 10:3-5
A war is being waged in today’s Western culture – a war of competing ideologies. As Christians, our greatest weapon is truth. This blog is my attempt to engage with the cultural ideologies of today and analyze them under the lens of scripture. I aim to post a blog weekly on current events and post a book review once per month. You can find these posts in the links above.
As a husband, my favorite day of the week is Friday because that means my wife (Caitlin) and I get to spend some quality time together sharing awesome new experiences and talking about the wonderful things God is doing in our lives. To all my single friends out there, I can’t recommend marriage enough. Just be careful and patient to find the right one.
As a full-time associate pastor for Xenos Christian Fellowship serving Northeast Ohio, my time is spent updating this blog, delivering sermons, leading youth ministries, teaching classes, and delving into my library of Christian books. As an extreme weather enthusiast, I have been known to sprinkle some choice weather-related analogies in my sermons and writings.
Feel free to leave a comment or question on any of my posts.
